I recently had the pleasure of being on the receiving end of the Parisian pampering experience that is Camille Albane Paris Salon here in Boston. Originating in Paris and keeping close to their French roots, we were greeted with a beautiful spread of macarons, cheese, bread, olives, and sparkling water.
Macarons! I had just discovered that these little melt-in-your-mouth sugary delights are gluten free. Who knew?! (Actually, a lot of people, it turns out.) I had come straight from the gym and may or may not have had several and called them dinner.
The salon itself is as beautiful as the hair that walked out of it. Bright and white with fun pops of orange and red with clean, modern furniture, it still managed to keep an air of old school, Newbury street charm.
We were each given the chance to choose between a restorative masque or their Natural Pigma color optimizer treatment, finished by a blowout and makeup refresher with their most recent color palate inspired by denim. I opted to try the Natural Pigma treatment, and I love the boost of depth it gave my hair. Without changing the color, it seemed to bring it to life. I can’t wait to try it again.
Yummy treats, beautiful environment, a chatty, engaging group of stylists and fun lifestyle bloggers, oh yeah – gorgeous hair and makeup – could it get any better? I suppose I could have planned better with somewhere to go besides home afterwards to show off my classy ‘do.
If I was a millionaire, I’d have someone wash my hair every day. It’s just the best.
I have no idea why I’m making that face, but I was taking a cell phone selfie while getting my hair shampooed, so there’s a lot going on here.
Already treated to the max on the way out, they outdid themselves and sent us on our way with some goodies to try at home.
And then, realizing I didn’t even have a pretty shot of my beautiful hair, I took a few more snapshots before I promptly went to bed and messed up their masterpiece.
A big thank you to Camille Albane salon for the treatments and to Jen of Blog and Tweet Boston for putting together this fantastic event.
